What is the Corner House Studio?
For many years the studio had been located in my 160 year old home in Thornbury ON Canada. The sprawling red brick home, surrounded by my perennial gardens was open to the public during studio tours and art shows.
The front and side gardens were visible to the public. However, the back garden was private. I found inspiration in the abundance and chaos of the perennial gardens and the solitude of the backyard garden provided peace for creative planning. It was a meditative space.
I am a photographer using alternative processes involving black and white film. These processes include contact printing, platinum palladium prints and more recently, photographs printed on metal. My images were on display at the studio and my darkroom was open during tours.
I am also a published author with a book on Amazon and a soon to be published blog on Substack. I have created content for social media in the past.
Recently I relocated to London ON Canada and closed my studio and darkroom. This has been a huge adjustment. Stay tuned to see what transpires in the near future as the Cornerhouse Studio transforms.
